  1. Do Now 13.2 (5 minutes)
  2. Go to Google Classroom (classroom.google.com) and find the reading titled, "Taking Charge: Reducing Risk Factors." Read and annotate the passage.
  3. Participate in the class discussion on "TodaysMeet" (link for your period below). Be sure to type your name (first and last initial, e.g. David T). Answer the following questions:
    1. What controllable risk factors for heart disease did Tina's mother have?
    2. What can be done to decrease your risk for heart disease?
  4. Self-Management Skills: Reducing Risk Factors (Spanish) (reading)
  5. Go to Google Classroom (classroom.google.com) and find the reading titled, "Taking Charge: Reducing Risk Factors Worksheet." Make a copy and complete the task.

  • Compare results to charts (10 min) - look at your scores. Did you score within the marginal fitness zone or above? Compare your results to for each of the assessment areas. When you complete this begin working on the Exit Ticket.
