  • What is HIIT (click here) (5 min to read, 5 min to talk)
    • Have students read on their own. When the are done, have a short Q&A about what HIIT is.
  • HIIT workouts (60 min) - follow the link to be able to choose from a variety of HIIT workouts. Either individually or in a group, choose 2 different HIIT workouts to do today. You will have 30 minutes to complete each workout for a total of one hour. Before you begin the HIIT workout, be sure to complete a Fitness ASAP as your warm-up.

      • Recall the "Rules of Three"

      Lesson Activities + (time frame)
      1. Do Now/Change (5 minutes each group/13 total) check out this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_(sport))
      2. Review the "Rules of Three"
        • May take 3 steps
        • Must pass 3 times (minimum)
        • Must have 3 different people touch the ball (if co-ed teams, both boys and girls need to touch at least once)
        • Defense needs to be 3 feet away (no contact...ever)
        • When defended, offense has to the count of three to pass the ball.
        • Turn overs always go to the defending team (dropped balls, interceptions, and blocks)
        • You may pivot on only one foot (like in basketball)
      3. Fitness ASAP - choose your warm-up routine.
      4. The Game
        • Create teams of 4-5 players
        • Games last 2 minutes with the winner staying on
        • If time elapse with no winner, both teams come off
        • Play for the entire period
      5. Change (15 minutes total)
