- Participate in the game of Ultimate
- Recall the "Rules of Three"
Lesson Activities + (time frame)
- Do Now/Change (5 minutes each group/13 total) check out this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_(sport))
- Review the "Rules of Three"
- May take 3 steps
- Must pass 3 times (minimum)
- Must have 3 different people touch the ball (if co-ed teams, both boys and girls need to touch at least once)
- Defense needs to be 3 feet away (no contact...ever)
- When defended, offense has to the count of three to pass the ball.
- Turn overs always go to the defending team (dropped balls, interceptions, and blocks)
- You may pivot on only one foot (like in basketball)
- Fitness ASAP - choose your warm-up routine.
- The Game
- Create teams of 4-5 players
- Games last 2 minutes with the winner staying on
- If time elapse with no winner, both teams come off
- Play for the entire period
- Change (15 minutes total)
